Students who are majoring in a related degree program (e.g. BFA Acting, English with a focus on drama) can register with permission of the instructor. Winter Term 2 (January-April) sections will be held online. Classes will include a combination of synchronous (live) and asynchronous activities (such as watching recorded lectures, posting to discussion boards, or completing quizzes). By the start of term, instructors will provide their students with more information on what to expect in their individual sections. THTR 311: Intercultural Theatre: This course examines the historical and contemporary practices and critical debates of intercultural performance. Topic include: pre- and early 20th century European encounters of Asian theatre, intercultural theatre productions and debates of the 1980s and 1990s, Asian Shakespeare productions, and contemporary intercultural performance in North America. Winter Term 1 (September-December) sections will be held online.
