This course examines diverse forms of human contact and creative collaboration and the effect on art and art-making in challenging conventions of artistic genius as dependent on masculinity, singularity, and heteronormativity, examining the intersections at which queer relationships, partnerships, and collaborations meet artistic practice. We reflect on historical shifts in sociocultural attitudes towards queer identities and the consequences of these shifts for queer relationships and creative collaborations.
