ASIA 386 Chinese Grammar and Usage I

Analysis of modern Chinese grammar and its usage in various discourses, situating its form and function in relation to social and cultural contexts.

Pre-reqs: One of CHIN 207, CHIN 337, CHIN 208, CHIN 338, CHIN 217, CHIN 347, CHIN 218, CHIN 348. (or a higher level of Chinese language proficiency.)

Students can expect a variety of formats which may include a combination of online meetings and outside of class readings, recorded lecturers, and/or assignments, in various proportions. The meeting days and times currently displayed reflect the maximum time that students will be expected to meet synchronously with the instructor.
