FRST 211 Forest Classification and Silvics

Forest classification and the application of silvics in forest management, including world forest classification systems, the Biogeoclimactic Ecosystem Classification system, and ecosystem diagnosis in the field.

Course includes off campus field labs some lab days from 8:00 to 18:00. Forestry students are encouraged to enroll in both Frst 200/210 and 201/211 in the same year. This course is also open to non-Forestry students who meet the prerequisites. Non-Forestry students may take only Frst 200/210 if they wish.
