HIST 432 in Term 1 will most likely combine synchronous (scheduled activities online in real time, including tutorials) and asynchronous (self-study, but potentially with discussion boards and other interactive components without precise scheduling) learning formats. Accommodations will be made for students unable to participate in real-time course components due to geographical location or limited internet access. Depending on student demand, some tutorials may be designated as asynchronous-only when arrangements for Term 1 are finalized during the first week of classes. In Term 2, tutorials will employ an asynchronous format based on discussion boards and other interactive forums that do not require scheduling in specific time slots.
