History of the American West. Examines in depth the rich and complex histories of one of the most interesting and hotly debated regions of the US: the West. We explore the pervasive mythologis of the frontier and the American West more generally and then dive into Indigenous, colonial and American histories of the region. We end by thinking about the legacies of these histories for contemporary communities in the West.
