We recommend that those who take MATH 104 should have taken and passed CALC 12 or an equivalent course, however, we will not enforce that recommendation. Those who took IB Math Studies rather than IB Math do not qualify to take MATH 104; you would need to take MATH 002 or another PREC 12 course to qualify to take 1st Year Math at UBC. A grade of 80% or higher in PREC 12 is required to take this course.
