MATH 444 Mathematical Research and Writing

Current research topics in pure and applied mathematics are explored at the undergraduate level. Technical communication and research skills are developed.

Pre-reqs: One of MATH 220, MATH 226. (and 6 credits of MATH courses numbered 300 or higher.)

For BA students in year 4 only. Students wishing to take MATH 444 should register in the wait list for this course. Students will be screened for eligibility and proximity to graduation. Students are advised that this class has a strict cap of 15 students and so they will want to have an alternate plan for meeting the BA research requirement. MATH 441 is one such option, but there are also non-MATH options. NO STUDENTS WILL BE FORCED INTO THIS CLASS OVER THE CAP.
