MUSC 100 Principles of Musical Form
Fundamental materials and processes of music - rhythmic, melodic, textural and harmonic - and how they create small-scale structures in a variety of styles. Compositional and analytical applications.
- PLACEMENT PROCEDURE: ALL students who wish to take Music 100 must pass the Music 100 Placement Test given on the first Wednesday morning of classes in September. You must sign up to take the test. 2020W Format: Synchronous online lectures (Tuesday and Thursday 8:30-9:20 am) and synchronous online tutorials.
This course is for BMUS students and for students in Arts or other faculties who intend to major or minor in Music. Registration will be confirmed only for students who pass a placement test on the first Wednesday of classes. BMus students: select MUSC 100 lecture + tutorial.
