AFRICAN MUSIC and DANCE ENSEMBLE.
This course/ensemble introduces drumming techniques, dances and other artistic expressions of Africa. Through the instruments, the voice, the dance movements and other visual art forms and paraphernalia, this class/ensemble brings to the stage a unique African theatrical experience. The course/ensemble may be repeated for credit. It will include public performances (concerts and lecture demonstrations). Also as a practical way of preparing for the main concert, students may be requested to participate in other performances on or off campus as the need may arise.
