This course provides students the opportunity to expand their understanding of the Family Nurse Practitioner role in the larger context of the British Columbia healthcare system. The goal of the course is to identify and discuss current social, educational, economic, political, legal, ethical, regulatory and organizational factors and trends that influence Family Nurse Practitioner practice in British Columbia, and the implications of these factors on professional practice.
