Conducted in Russian, this course uses interactive approach and offers advanced practice in oral work and written composition. The goal is to raise the linguistic skills of the students to the intermediate-advanced threshold and maximally enrich students' vocabulary. Variety of resources are used in the course to facilitate the understanding of cultural complexities, including folk, classical and modern literature, music and song lyrics, poetry, art, drama, newspaper, magazine, radio and Internet reports, film and cartoons.
