Comparative Conceptions of the Self

Ways in which the "self" has been portrayed in eastern and western religious traditions. Thinkers to be considered include Aristotle, Mencius, Freud, Xunzi (Hsün-tzu), Nietzsche, and Zhuangzi (Chuang-tzu).
