MECH 426 T1B (Tutorial)

Mechanical Design

Design of shafts and welded joints. Fatigue and fracture considerations in design: failure types, failure under static and dynamic loading, fatigue failure, crack initiation, and propagation. Introduction to the FEM in mechanical design. Students can only receive credit for one of MECH 326 or MECH 426.
