-  The THTR 350 course offered this fall will have an exclusive concentration on rigging. Topics covered will include:· Arena rigging with truss and motors· Loading and operating counterweight systems in theatres· Safety factors and calculations· Hardware and equipment used in rigging· Bridle length and angle calculations· Loading calculations· Reading rigging plots and engineers drawingsThe course will be structured around a 1.5 hour lecture in FRWO 112, followed by a 1.5 hour practical "studio" session on the Frederic Wood Theatre stage (FRWO 102).
