ANTH 241 Archaeology of the Americas

Introduces prehistoric cultures in North and South America up to the time of European settlement, emphasizing the overall patterns of prehistoric culture change. Topics may include: evidence for early humankind in North and South America; the significance of plant and animal domestication; the rise of civilizations in Meso-America and the Andes; prehistoric British Columbia and northern Canada.

This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.
