- Choose the right section: *Sections with letters (01A, 02B) are for ARTS. *Sections 600 to 900 are for NON-Arts. NON-ARTS students: Credit from only one of WRDS 150, ENGL 100, or ENGL 112 will be applied to your degree program. ARTS STUDENTS: Students require only one of WRDS 150, WRDS 350, ENGL 100, ARTS 001 (Arts One), or ASTU 100 or 101 (Coordinated Arts Program) to satisfy the Writing Component of the Writing and Research Requirement. NOTE: Each section of WRDS 150 has a research topic. For details/topics visit: http://asrw.arts.ubc.ca/, select WRDS 150 from the Courses Tab, and then choose either WRDS 150 Term 1 or Term 2 from the side bar. Instructors cannot register you into a section. If you are interested in a section that is full, check the SSC regularly for an available seat.
