CHEM 305 Biophysical Chemistry

Diffusion and transport phenomena of biomolecules. Interaction of radiation and matter in biochemical systems. Methods to determine molar mass, size, and shape of biomolecules in solution.

This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

Pre-reqs: One of CHEM 201, CHEM 210. (Third-year standing. MATH 200 is strongly recommended.)

Repeating students, who have previously passed the laboratory section of this course with 50% or greater, will automatically be registered by the Chemistry Department into the XMT (exempt) laboratory. Please do NOT register in a lab and your previous lab mark will be used. If you want to repeat the lab, complete the Lab Repeat Form found at, and return the form to the Chemistry Department's Administrative Assistant at Permission will be granted, only if space is available.
