Overview of instrumental methods of chemical analysis, including spectroscopic methods, mass spectrometry, surface analysis, and chromatography.

This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

Pre-reqs: CHEM 211. (One of BIOL 202, STAT 230 is strongly recommended.)

Repeating students, who have previously passed the laboratory section of this course with 50% or greater, will automatically be registered by the Chemistry Department into the XMT (exempt) laboratory. Please do NOT register in a lab and your previous lab mark will be used. If you want to repeat the lab, complete the Lab Repeat Form found at http://chem.ok.ubc.ca/__shared/assets/Chem_Lab_Repeat_Form48183.pdf, and return the form to the Chemistry Department's Administrative Assistant at chemistry.okanagan@ubc.ca. Permission will be granted, only if space is available.
