ARCL 140 Bones: The Origins of Humanity: In this introduction to biological anthropology and paleoanthropology, students will learn the biological basis for human evolution and apply these principles to the greater understanding of the origins and evolution of the human lineage. With the aid of primate, fossil, and human skeleton casts, students will learn about the biological and cultural traits associated with major fossil discoveries among ancestral groups such as the australopithecines, Homo erectus, the Neanderthals, and our own species, Homo sapiens.
