Introduction to cinema as a serious academic discipline; through the study of film language, genre and ideology, and alternatives to Hollywood filmmaking and analysis, the course focuses on building the terminology and analytical skills necessary for academic engagements with cinema. Winter Term 1 (September-December) sections will be held online.
