Vegetation Dynamics: Disturbance, Climate and Human Impacts

Investigation of vegetation dynamics integrating theory and research to address contemporary issues of global environmental change. Students will conduct fieldwork and learn to analyze data and interpret results.

This section will focus on two important contemporary issues: plant invasions and the conservation of rare and threatened plant species. Data analysis will include learning how to build simple mathematical models to address both of these issues.
