MECH 326 Mechanical Design II

Design and application of mechanisms, linkages, and cams. Fatigue and fracture considerations in design: failure types, failure under static and dynamic loading, fatigue failure, crack initiation, and propagation. Introduction to the FEM in mechanical design.

This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.

Credits: 3

Pre-reqs: One of MECH 223, MECH 260.

Co-reqs: All of MECH 325, MECH 360 and one of MECH 328, ENPH 253, IGEN 330.
