MINE_V 520 - Advanced Coal Preparation

Thermal and metallurgical coals. Desulphurization Theory of coal beneficiation. Dense media separation. Coal surface properties and their effect on fine coal processing by flotation and oil agglomeration; coal/water/slurries. Plant performance testing and instrumentation. Credit will be granted for only one of MINE 520 or MINE 566. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading.
