MATH_O 408 - Differential Geometry

Local theory of curves, Frenet-Serret apparatus, fundamentals of the Gaussian theory of surface, normal curvature, geodesics, Gaussian and mean curvatures, theorema egregium, an introduction to Riemannian geometry, Gauss-Bonnet Theorem, and applications. [3-0-0] Prerequisite: All of MATH 200, MATH 221. and 9 credits of 300-level MATH.
