GEOG_V 411 - Environment and Empire

Human use and abuse of the earth in the last 200 years, and how these developments have been understood. Focus upon areas beyond Europe, using case studies drawing upon the perspectives of geography, environmental history, and the ecological sciences. This course is not eligible for Credit/D/Fail grading. Prerequisite: Third or fourth year standing and six credits of first and second year physical geography (may be taken as corequisites).
