NRSG_O 115 - Introduction to the Profession of Nursing

Critical reflection of the historical, political, and socioeconomic evolution of nursing, foundational theories, and the contemporary knowledge shaping the discipline. Students will explore the interplay between theory and practice, professional standards, ethical principles, decision-making, and health law that guide evidence-informed nursing. The development of teaching and learning skills is also emphasized. [3-0-0] Prerequisite: First-year BSN-O Standing. Corequisite: NRSG_O 111.
