Physical, chemical, and biological properties of soils, soil formation and classification. Soil physics and water movement. Soil productivity, conservation, and sustainability. The application of soil science to land use, environmental quality, global change, and sustainable development. Credit will be granted for only one of GEOG_O 466, EESC_O 206, or EESC_O 456. [3-3-0] Prerequisite: One of EESC_O 111, EESC_O 200, GEOG_O 109, CHEM_O 111, CHEM_O 121, PHYS_O 111, PHYS_O 112. Third-year standing. Equivalency: EESC_O 456
